Who is winning the internet?
“David vs. Goliath”: Who is winning the internet? A digital transformation has already permeated our entire society and the ORF (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation) — a public service provider and the largest media broadcaster in Austria — must boldly take the lead. With “David vs. Goliath”, the ORF presents a vision that is not a business model, but a public service: for the public, controlled by the public, transparent and participatory, trustworthy and informative.
“David vs. Goliath” features scientific articles from around the world, the “Public Service Internet Manifesto”, and key opinions, analyses, and ORF commentary that cut to the heart of today’s media discourse.
The layout is inspired by posters from the world of big boxing matches, staging the report as the “David vs. Goliath” fight. Highly recognizable elements run through the entire publication, guiding the viewer’s eye and structuring the content. Playful—yet loud and clear. The scientists and experts enter the ring in a series of dynamic portraits. Colors are limited to red and black, creating a clean overall look in which the content dictates the design.
