Human Capsules. Body & space.
Ursula Hauser is known for her exquisite art collection. Hauser has a special connection to the locomotive depot in St. Gallen; it was she who made a name for the old station in the international art world with exhibitions of her own collection. When pieces from her personal collection were again shown in the depot for the first time in eight years, it was a special event. “Human Capsules” brings together eight first-rate series of artwork by Louise Bourgeois and Maria Lassnig, plus fine selected works by six additional female artists from the collection: Phyllida Barlow, Berlinde de Bruyckere, Rachel Khedoori, Carol Rama, Loredana Sperini, and Alina Szapocznikow.
